Hi, I’m Mike T — a fitness coach, writer, and lifelong athlete dedicated to helping adults over 50 build strength, improve mobility, and reclaim energy for the long game of life.

With a background in competitive rugby (including representing Wales at youth level), I transitioned into endurance sports after retiring from semi-professional play — completing Ironman Switzerland, multiple marathons, and obstacle course races. But these days, my mission is simpler: helping people age well, stay strong, and live fully.

I’m a Certified Personal Trainer, Certified Senior Fitness Specialist, and founder of FitLifeStrategy — a coaching practice focused on strategic, sustainable fitness for the second half of life. I write here about strength training, longevity, cardio health, and mindset — all from the lens of experience, empathy, and evidence.

I believe fitness doesn’t have to be extreme — just consistent, intentional, and adapted to your life.
